Thanks Jason. We are committed to ensuring the community is consistent with the City's long-standing plans for the area and raises the bar to help preserve view corridors and respect the natural environment.

This is a great comment, Justin. We understand that the cycling community makes good use of the Sonoran Desert Drive corridor. We have been in discussions with the City regarding the eventual expansion of the roadway and the possibility of enhanced or protected bike lanes as part of its eventual build out. There is significant community interest in this.

Thanks Justin! One of the exciting design components within Verdin is that it will include one of the first public trail connections between the north and south portions of the Sonoran Preserve. The City of Phoenix Parks Department has been included since day one in the design of these connections and will continue to be a partner as plans for the community evolve.

Thank you Steven. We couldn't agree more! The Verdin design team is working hard to set the bar high for future development in the area. Verdin is designed to be respectful to the surrounding Sonoran Preserve while pushing forward the City's long term growth and economic development goals in the area. There is strong market demand for housing in this part of Phoenix. Verdin will provide a diverse lineup of homes that will afford many types of citizens the opportunity live in this special community.

Verdin will enhance connectivity in the area through public trail connections that create more connectivity throughout the Sonoran Preserve and provide access to the extensive trail network along Sonoran Desert Drive. The growth of residential housing in the area will directly support and drive the need for small businesses in the area, providing more services and opportunities for existing as well as new residents.

Thanks Mark. Verdin is designed to strike a balance between meeting the needs of the market with a community designed in concert with the surrounding natural environment.

The community amenities within Verdin will take their cue from the surrounding natural environment. The community will include more than 7 miles of trails plus 3 trail head connections providing access to the Sonoran Preserve. The community is being designed with an emphasis on habitat preservation and will include specially designed outdoor play areas based off the ECHO model created through the North Carolina University Natural Learning Initiative. This includes play and activity areas, and play structures, intentionally designed to enhance physical activity and foster more social interaction. These play areas will be located throughout the community, including as part of the main community center area, which will also include traditional amenities such as a community pool and event area.

Verdin includes more than 7 miles of trails and 3 trail head locations, including a public trail corridor along the Mesquite Wash Corridor that will be one of the first public connections between the north and south portions of the Sonoran Preserve. The City of Phoenix intends to include this trail corridor on its maps for the Preserve.

Thank much Ron. Verdin, through its partnership with a national wildlife organization and commitment to preservation of native habitats, is taking very seriously the challenge to create a community that raises the bar for development in the area. Verdin is intended to set an example for building a community that is responsive to the market while setting a new standard for sustainable design and integration into the natural environment.

Thanks Jim. Verdin is located in one of Phoenix's priority growth areas. Future growth of the biomedical corridor at Desert Ridge and the North Gateway Village Core go hand in hand with the need for high quality housing. By providing diversity of housing choice within a community that is designed to preserve native habitats and provide enhanced recreational opportunities, we believe Verdin will be a model for balancing these interests and supporting critical economic growth.

Hi Ann. With more than 100 acres of open space, over 7 miles of trails and 3 trail head locations coordinated with the City of Phoenix Parks Department, Verdin is designed to strike an intentional balance between meeting housing needs and open space preservation. The community is being designed as a pilot project for wildlife habitat and native landscape preservation in coordination with a national wildlife advocacy organization. The results will raise the bar for future development in the area.
